Immy is no stranger to contemporary jazz, having collaborating with some of the leading jazz musicians in Europe and the UK (Florian Arbenz, Greg Osby, Jim Hart, Christy Doran, Emma Rawicz). Not only is Immy a skilled improviser and performer, but her lyrics have been featured on various recordings and tours over the past 5 years.

The DeRungs Quintet is a collaboration between the lyrical and vibrant music of piano player Lukas DeRungs and the lyrics and interpretation of Immy Churchill.

Florian Arbenz Group

Immy has toured with Florian Arbenz’ ‘Conversation’ group across the UK and Europe alonsgide : Christy Doran, Szymon Mika, Percy Pursglove, Ivo Neame, Jim Hart and recent recordings have coincided with jazz legend Greg Osby.

Rik Van Der Made Quintet

Immy has recently recorded and launched Netherlands’ saxophonist Rik Van Der Made’s debut album ‘The Morning Light’, combining her folk influences with free improvisation, spoken word and lyric writing.

Emma Rawicz and her Jazz Orchestra

Immy is a long term collaberator with award winning saxophonist Emma Rawicz. She is featured on ‘Chroma’ released on ACT and has recently been Emma’s featured guest with the WDR Big Band. Her Jazz Orchestra has played at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Live and Swanage Jazz Festival
