My work and approach as an educator:
Growing up in a family of music educators, I have seen first hand the effects of community music and eduction in people’s lives. With a First from the Royal Academy of Music in Jazz Voice and a Distinction Licentiate of The Royal Academy in music education, my qualifications support my years of experience and knowledge.
I am committed to sharing a deeper understand of jazz and songwriting which has led me to work with adults and young people at institutions such as Trinity Laban Conservatoire, The Original UK Jazz Summer School and The National Youth Jazz Collective. Working with a range of abilities and age groups, I have seen the enthusiastic responses to my workshops and masterclasses as I constantly evolve my pedagogy.
As a choir director I have worked with community choirs around Britain, focusing on my love of teaching by ear and creating communities through song.
